DiscNW – Cancelation Policy
This policy addresses events that are canceled by DiscNW and the implications for event registrants.
There are various reasons that may cause DiscNW to cancel an event. Event cancelation may be the result of factors outside of the control of DiscNW. These may include, but are not limited to, bad weather, loss of field reservations, or failure of field lighting. DiscNW may cancel an event due to low registration numbers or other logistical reasons.
An entire event may be canceled. A portion of an event may canceled. Examples include, but are not limited to, one league game, the Sunday of a tournament, or the last hour of a clinic.
DiscNW staff and volunteers will communicate with registered players and or teams regarding the status of events. On the day of an event, the DiscNW Hotline (206-781-5840) and twitter account (www.twitter.com/discnw) are the main communication tools. Prior to the event, email and website messages are used
Refunds for canceled events will be handled on a case-by-case basis. DiscNW reserves the right to provide no refund to registrants. Partial refunds may be issued.
Factors influencing refunds include the timing of event cancelation, the cause(s) of cancelation, the ability of DiscNW to recover event expenses, and the scope of the cancelation.
Refunds will not be given for the cancelation of any league games due to weather or field closure. Rescheduling of canceled games may be attempted by the Event Organizer(s); however there is no guarantee that any games will be rescheduled.
Refunds for individuals or teams that withdraw from events are addressed in the DiscNW Refund Policy (http://www.discnw.org/about/refunds.html).
