Cal States

Sockeye split squads went 10-1 over the weekend with one losing in semis to a Jam split squad team and the other winning against the same Jam split squad team. Both semis featured split Jam/Sockeye squads playing aginst each other. Nationals qualifiers Condors and PBR Streetgang both bowed out in the quarter finals. Nice start of the season for the Fish.

Re: Cal States

The only Sockeye loss was 16-15 on double game point (1/2 Sockeye (Gound & Pound) pulling to 1/2 DorJam (Regulators)).  You figure one of the squads was going to have one loss at some point.

I believe that the finals score was 15-13 (1/2 Sockeye (Snakes on a Plane, see www.snakesonaplane.com)) over 1/2 DorJam.  Many of the Bay area Condors are playing with Jam this year.  It sounds like they'll have a new name.

Re: Cal States

Was the Sockeye split by O and D teams?  (aka whose got the bragging rights? :-)

Re: Cal States

It was the mostly O team that won it all.  It was not a perfect split though. And there were more D guys playing with "Snakes on a Plane" than O guys playing on Ground & Pound.  Braggin' rights?  maybe, but definitely a successful weekend for the Fish.
