No flames, no camp stoves, no coffee???

Is anyone else concerned about the "no flame to anything" rule at the Potlatch fields?  I've camped every year for the last 3 years and have been able to cook breakfast and dinner at the fields.  This new rule means no hot meals, and no coffee.

It seems a bit unreasonable...

This is the same rule we've had at least since 2005: http://potlatch.discnw.org/faq.php#fire

Re: No flames, no camp stoves, no coffee???

The no flames rule has been in place for years and years.  The policy is set forth by Parks Management, and we want to make sure to respect their guidelines so that we can continue using 60 Acres for many years to come.

We'll have plenty of tournament food (bagels, fruit, etc.) for breakfast and throughout the day.  On Friday night, pizza will be served at the fields, and Saturday night's party will have more salmon than you can shake a disc at.

As for coffee, I'm happy to announce that we have partnered with Pura Vida Coffee to provide free coffee each morning at the fields.

Thanks for your understanding in adhering to the no flames rule, and thanks for being part of one of the greatest Ultimate tourneys in the world!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us as potlatch@discnw.org.

Cheers,
The Potlatch TDs

Any chance you'll have just hot water (for tea, hot toddys, etc)?

We'll have a limited supply, but only in the mornings, from about 8 till 11.

Last year there were veggie burgers as well.  We kept a separate BBQ for non-meat/fish items.  Hopefully the teams cooking will do the same this year.
