Rules
Eligibility Rules:
- Eligibility for the UPA HS State Championships is determined by the UPA State Youth Coordinator. These events are intended for HS based teams; however the State Youth Coordinator can make exceptions in order to encourage growth.
- If you are interested in playing for a team that is not based at the high school that you attend, please contact your State Youth Coordinator for your state's eligibility guidelines.
- A player determined eligible for a HS team at HS States by the State youth Coordinator does not make a player eligible for that same team at HS Easterns or Westerns. All eligibility questions for HS Easterns or Westerns should be directed to the Championship Series Manager.
Roster Rules: All teams will be required to have at least 14 eligible players on their roster before the event begins. In addition a team must have at least 10 healthy players at any given time throughout the event to maintain competition or the team may be subject to forfeiting their remaining games. These rules are in the interest in the players competing so that we can lessen the extent of over use injuries during our event.
Game Rules: All games will be played in accordance with the UPA 11th Edition rules. There will be 2 time outs per half, and no time outs in the hard cap.
