Who should attend AGE-UP?
The All Girl Everything Ultimate Program (AGE-UP) is a unique new program combining ultimate frisbee clinics with a series of leadership workshops using the award-winning Women's Sports Foundation's GoGirlGo! curriculum, which focuses on issues that many young women may face.
- Are you a young woman age 13-18?
- Would you like to become and/or stay physically active?
- Are you interested in learning and playing one of the fastest-growing sports in the country?
- Do you enjoy meeting and talking with other girls and women about your experiences?
- Would you like to practice and develop your leadership skills?
If you answered "yes" to any of the questions above, then AGE-UP might be just right for you!
What is AGE-UP?
AGE-UP is *free* and begins in late November. Through January, you will participate in weekly 2.5 hour workshops, with 60 minutes devoted to the GoGirlGo! curriculum, and 90 minutes to learning ultimate frisbee with adult athletes from the top Seattle women's Ultimate teams (Seattle Riot, Seattle Underground, and University of Washington Element). In February and March, you will practice the leadership and ultimate frisbee skills you have learned by coaching 5 elementary and middle school girls' clinics. In both April and May, you will attend a retreat with your AGE-UP peers, where you'll play and learn more Ultimate and reflect on your spring experiences. Finally, in June, you, your family, your AGE-UP peers, and your program mentors will gather to celebrate your AGE-UP graduation.

How do I sign up?
We can accept up to 30 girls to the AGE-UP program. We will select girls based on an application process. We will consider all girls for this program, but if the number of applications exceeds the space available, we will give preference to girls who bring a friend who is not currently involved in the Ultimate community. We also intend to select a group that is diverse in many ways. If it is appropriate, we will run two sections of the AGE-UP clinics--one for new/intermediate players and one for intermediate/advanced players.
The application will become available the week of October 18. When it is available, you will see the words "Register Now" below this paragraph. To apply online, click on "Register Now" to begin the application process. To receive a paper application, please email .
The application period will close on November 13 and all candidates will be notified of their status by November 19.
