Tacoma High School League
Info
DiscNW is proud to offer the third year of the Tacoma High School Spring League, this year in partnership with Metro Parks Tacoma! League is open to high school teams (grades 9-12), public or private. All players on a team should attend the same school (contact us for exceptions). Teams are required to play with a 5:2 boy:girl ratio.
Games will be on the following Saturdays at 4:00-5:30 at Stewart Heights Playfield, immediately following the Tacoma Youth Learning League:
- April 14
- April 21
- May 5
- May 12
- May 19
If your team can play on only 1-4 of these league dates, you are still encouraged to register. We will pro-rate your league fee based on the number of games that you play.
Registration and League Fees
The league fee will be in the range of $0-$75 per team, depending on how many teams register. Limited, need-based scholarships are available. League fees will be due shortly after registration closes on April 10.
Coaches will be required to submit paperwork as described in the Rules section below.
If registration is open, a "Register Now" link will be visible directly below this paragraph. All teams will be initially waitlisted until league fees are determined. When league fees are determined, teams will be moved off the waitlist on a first come, first served basis, and payment will be enabled.

Rules
General:
- This league uses the Official Rules of Ultimate, 11th Edition.
- The on-field gender ratio for this league is 5 boys: 2 girls.
- All players on a team must attend the same school. Exceptions can be made for players who do not have a team at their school, but exceptions must be approved by the Eligibility Committee. Please refer to the Eligibility Rules for details and for information on this process. Note that the Eligibility Rules have been revised for 2012.
- Teams are required to have an adult coach present at all games. The coach must be at least 21 years old.
The following paperwork is due by Wednesday, April 11.
DiscNW prefers electronic copies of the paperwork, emailed to [Enable javascript to see email]. If you need to submit hard copies, please mail to DiscNW at the address in the upper right corner of the website.
- The coach must submit a signed DiscNW Youth Participation Agreement and Release and Concussion Information Sheet for each player on the roster. Coaches should keep their own hard copy of the first page of this packet and bring it to all games and practices, since it contains a medical authorization which allows the coach to seek medical care for a player if the parent cannot be reached. Please alphabetize the player waivers by last name before submitting them.
- All coaches are required to sign a Coaching Code of Conduct form, which outlines coaches' responsibilities while participating in DiscNW events, and which signifies that they have been educated as to the nature and risk of concussions and head injuries.
- Each team must submit a team roster. You may use the DiscNW Youth Team Roster, or the roster may be in your own format, but it must include the name of the event, the year of the event, the school and team names, and the full names, grades, and genders of all players. Please alphabetize the player names by last name on the form.
