Fall Middle School Hat League (2012)
Info
Congratulations to the following league champs:
- Ally Constantino - Most Spirited Girl
- TJ Carson - Most Spirited Boy
- Trevor Hiner - Best Costume (for sporting a grass skirt throughout the last game)
- MS and Hat Pods (and Friends) - League Champions
- After combining forces with the MS Pod for a win on the last day of play, the Hat Pod finished the season with the best record, winning 3 of 4 games (and tieing two). The previously winless MS Pod (and a couple friends from other pods) played with Hat on the last day and helped them to break a three-way tie for first place, so they were honored with prize discs as supporting cast members.

This coed league is open to 6-8th graders. The league emphasis is on fun and on learning or teaching Ultimate. This is a casual league, with no formal coaches - just 1-2 field supervisors who organize things, run warm-ups, supervise for safety, provide rules clarifications, and offer a few tips here and there.
Games will take place on Wednesday afternoons at View Ridge Playfield, from September 12 through October 31, 3:30-5:00pm. Our field reservation is restrictive, but we hope to create a league format that enables players with later school dismissal to participate in the league. Players who cannot arrive by 3:30 should feel welcome to register, and we will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. There is a registration question about arrival time to help us with planning.
Registration
If registration is open, a "Register Now" link will be available at the end of this section. Registration will remain open until September 9 or until space is no longer available. The registration fee is $36 and may be paid online at the time of registration or mailed to DiscNW at PO Box 85112, Seattle, WA 98145. Financial aid is available.
All players must submit a DiscNW Participation Agreement and Release for the 2012-13 academic year. (Note that beginning this academic year, our waiver collection will occur annually based on the academic rather than the calendar year.)
The registration fee and the waiver are due by the player's first game.
