Q: I've never registered for a DiscNW event before. Help!
A: Click here for a written tutorial on how to create a User Login and register teams for a DiscNW league.
Q: Our school doesn't have enough players for a team. Can we combine with another team to play in the league?
A: Yes, consortium teams are possible but must be approved by the DiscNW Eligibility Committee. Please visit the Eligibility Page for the full policy and for the Eligibility Review application.
Q: How do I pay for the league if I didn't pay during registration?
A: If you did not pay at the time of registration, you may still pay online. Only the person who registered the team may pay online. Follow these steps: 1) Make sure you are logged on to the DiscNW website. 2) Click on "Player Page" in the login box in the upper right corner of the website. 3) Scroll down to the "Player's Current and Recent Teams" table. 4) Click on your team's name. 5) Scroll down to the "Team Bids" table. 6) Click on "Pay now" next to the league title, and follow the directions. If you prefer to pay by check, please make a check out to DiscNW, write "Tacoma Youth Spring League" in the memo line, and mail to PO Box 85112, Seattle, WA 98145.
Q: What if my team can't afford the league fee?
A: There are some team scholarships available. Click here for the team scholarship policy and application.
Q: Why is the league waiver so long?
A: The Zackery Lystedt Law—signed by Washington Governor Christine Gregoire on May 14, 2009 and effective July 26, 2009—requires school districts and nonprofit organizations using school facilities to adopt policies for the management of concussion and head injury in youth sports. Our youth waiver is our method of informing parents and players of the risk of concussion and head injury. Click here to learn more about the law and head injuries and concussions.
A: Games are generally played, rain or shine, with a few exceptions. If the fields are in poor condition (e.g., standing water or muddy), or if there is lightning, games are generally canceled. To find out if your game was canceled, call the DiscNW rain hotline at 206-504-3472 (note this is a new hotline number for 2012). DiscNW staff will make every effort to announce weather-related cancellations on our Twitter account, Facebook page, DiscNW.org front page, and by email/direct phone call, but these are not guaranteed, so the rain hotline is your best bet.
Q: How do I know if my co-coach is receiving league emails?
A: Your co-coach will receive league emails only if (s)he registered the team for the league OR if (s)he is listed as a coach or a contact on the team's webpage. Click here for a written tutorial on how to add your co-coach to the team webpage.
Q: How do I report game and spirit scores?
