This year the league is going to be organized more like other high school sports. DiscNW will not be providing fields for all the games and the scheduling will be done by each school/team with a little help from a scheduling template. There will be a scheduling meeting after sign-ups close in late February. All games should take place midweek so that teams are free to play in tournaments and/or HS coed league on the weekends. Teams that don
This league will use the UPA 10th Edition Rules.
The league will also require that every team has an adult (over 21) chaperone (preferably coaches) for each team at every game. For organizing purposes the league will require that an adult represents each school/team. While the kids in the league are great they should not be the ones scheduling the games. There were too many scheduling issues last year due to students trying to organize schedules and game times, so adults will be required to take care of all the external organizing.
Rosters and Eligibility:
The single gender league will be using the UPA eligibility guidelines that are used at UPA States and UPA Westerns. More information can be found at the following links:
Additionally, DiscNW adds some clarifications:
- Students must play for their school team if one exists.
- Players may not play on teams at two different schools.
- DiscNW will respect all rules stated by participating schools regarding player participation.
- Eighth graders are eligible if there is an 8th grade at the school.
Teams and players who wish to apply for exceptions to these rules must apply to the DiscNW Eligibility Committee prior to the start of the season. For example, two schools with small rosters may combine to form one team. For more information please contact the committee at .
